Von Mund zu Ohr Von Blau zu Gold
This project explores the sonic identity and visual textures of North Düren through field recordings and scanned materials. Created in collaboration with young residents of the district, the work transforms local impressions into an immersive public installation. The acoustic environment—ranging from jet flyovers to muezzin calls—becomes a shared listening space, amplified through visual projection and sound.
From Mouth to Ear – From Blue to Gold combines environmental sound recordings, scanning techniques, and spatial audio composition to create a multilayered audiovisual experience. Originally developed from the soundwalk Wallah, das ist Nord-Düren!, the work extends the research into urban resonance, memory, and the role of youth perspectives in shaping cultural narratives.
